A Brief Introduction

The All Pakistan Nursing Association - UK (APNA-UK) is a dedicated organization committed to fostering the growth and development of the nursing profession within the Pakistani community in the United Kingdom. Our mission is to support nurses in their professional endeavors,promote collaboration, and enhance the quality of healthcare services.

Aims & Objectives of APNA-UK

1. Professional Advocacy & Representation - To promote the recognition and representation of nurses and the nursing profession within Pakistani diaspora communities in the UKand nursing professionals in Pakistan in accordance with UK and international healthcare standards.

2. Professional Support & Career Development - To provide advisory services to nurses on employment rights, workplace challenges, and professional development in alignment with UK employment law and Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines. - To facilitate educational and professional opportunities for nurses relocating from Pakistan including but not limited to further studies, research collaborations, employment pathways, and ethical recruitment practices.

3. Strengthening Professional Networks - To establish and maintain a formal professional network between UK-based nurses of Pakistani origin and Pakistan-trained nurses fostering knowledge exchange, mentorship, and ethical best practices.

4. Capacity Building & Ethical Skill Enhancement - To enhance the competencies of Pakistani nurses through continuous professional development (CPD) while incorporating lessons from resource-constrained healthcare environments to improve efficient and ethical patient care delivery.

5. Academic Collaboration & Higher Education Promotion - To collaborate with accredited educational institutions in Pakistan to advance nursing education ensuring alignment with international accreditation standards and ethical academic practices.

6. Regulatory Compliance & Healthcare Standards - To work in partnership with the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC to strengthen regulatory frameworks, enforce nursing standard and eliminate malpractice in healthcare settings, adhering to ethical healthcare principlesand professional accountability

7. Legal & Ethical Compliance - All activities shall be conducted in accordance with: -UK employment law & NMC Code of Conduct (for UK-based nurses). - Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) regulations (for Pakistan-based initiatives). - Data protection laws (GDPR/UK Data Protection Act 2018) where applicable.
